People can feel intimidated when coming to church for the first time. We love to make JRNY the exception to that rule. Our host team does this by directing guests to a parking spot, showing them where to go, and directing them to their seat. Our goal is to treat our guests the way God feels about them!
Our safety teammates work hard to ensure the safety of our families on Sunday mornings. By providing peace of mind, they allow all our teammates to create the best experience for our guests. We only have one question: will you protect this house?
Across all of our campuses, musicians and vocalists serve God by using their talents and abilities to create an atmosphere of worship on Sunday mornings. Production Teammates run cameras, lights, video switchers, and audio to ensure that every person who attends on Sunday or watches online has the best experience possible.
*PLEASE NOTE: this team includes a Wednesday evening rehearsal on weeks that you serve
Our Photographers capture our experiences, guest interactions, and special events! We use these pictures to update our social media, website, and give us the ability to look back and see how we have grown!
JRNY Kids isn’t babysitting, it’s World Changing! We believe that kids can change the world. We’ve seen first hand how capable they are to use the lessons we teach them to impact their friends and families. That’s why we do our best to create a fun, interactive learning environment!
Have more flexibility to serve during the earlier part of Sunday mornings? Or you’re not available to serve during the different experiences? Pre-Experience Childcare is for you! You would be a part of the early-morning crew and help kick-start the day. This team arrives before the experiences begin to care for the children of set-up teammates!

The Bible clearly teaches that baptism is the first step of obedience after making a commitment to Jesus Christ. Making a decision to follow Jesus when no one is looking is significant, but there’s something powerful about publicly declaring, in front of family and friends, that you’ve given your life to Christ.
It illustrates Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection: “Christ died for our sins…He was buried…and He rose again.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
It illustrates my new life as a Christian: “When someone becomes a Christian he becomes a brand new person inside. The old life has passed away and a new life has begun!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Every person who has believed in Jesus Christ. A believer is someone who has realized that their sin has separated them from God. They have given up all efforts to reach God through good works or religious activity. They have concluded that Jesus’ death on the cross for their sins is the only thing that can bridge the gap between them and God. A believer is someone who has decided to trust Christ alone for their salvation. If you have come to that point in your spiritual journey, then you are ready to be baptized! (Acts 2:41; 8:12-13)
To follow the example of Jesus: “At that time Jesus came from Nazareth and was baptized by John in the river.” (Mark 1:9)
Because Jesus commanded it: “Jesus said, ‘Go then, to all people everywhere and make them my disciples, baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and then teach them to obey everything that I have commanded you.'” (Matthew 28:19-20)
As soon as you have believed. Acts 8:12 says, “But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news of the kingdom of God and the names of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.”
Because Jesus was baptized that way: “As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water.” (Matthew 3:16)
Every baptism in the Bible was by immersion: “…both Philip and the man went down into the water and Philip baptized him…” (Acts 8:38-39)
The word “baptize” means “to dip under water”
The New Testament shows no example of baptism when the person did not request it. All instances of baptism followed an individual’s decision to trust Jesus alone for their salvation (Acts 2:41; 8:12; 10:47-48). At Journey, we wait until the child is old enough to believe and understand the true meaning of baptism before we baptize them. When a child makes the decision for Christ, we gladly baptize them into the Christian faith. We also believe that if you have not experienced adult baptism, even though you have experienced baptism as an infant, the full meaning and significance of baptism has yet to take place in your life. We strongly encourage you to be baptized as an adult believer!
The Holy Spirit inspired human authors to write the books of the Bible. God Himself chose every word of Scripture. The Bible is God’s love letter to all of humanity and is the final authority in every issue it communicates. It is complete Truth, and we can trust it for all matters in this life and eternity.
Our disobedient nature has eternally separated us from our Creator. No matter how hard we try, we can never earn our way back into God’s Presence. Our only hope is to trust Jesus as God’s provision for our disobedience. When you make that decision, you step into the eternal and abundant life Jesus promises for all believers.
The Holy Spirit is a full and equal part of the Trinity. He works in the world to make all people understand their need for Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit lives inside every follower of Jesus from the moment they decide to follow Him. The Spirit is our power source for life, ministry and spiritual growth. To tap into that power, we must continually yield to the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is God’s Son and an equal of the Father. He has existed from before time began, yet lived on earth during the first century A.D. Throughout His earthly life, He was completely God and completely human at the same time. After living a perfect, sinless life, Jesus offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for every human being who has ever lived by dying on a Roman cross. After three days in the grave, He defeated sin and death by rising from the grave. He then ascended to Heaven and will return to earth one day to reign as King.
God made you to exist forever. Heaven is a perfect place, and since none of us are perfect, we are all headed for an eternity of separation from God. That’s why God sent Jesus: to pay the price for our sins so that we can spend eternity with Him. What you decide about Jesus Christ in this life will determine where you will spend eternity. If you reject Him, you’ll be eternally separated from God in Hell. If you accept Him, you’ll spend it eternally connected with Him in Heaven.
The Bible tells us that the church is the body of Christ in the world today. The New Testament tells us the church is a local body of baptized believers. The head of the church is Jesus Christ. The biblical purposes of the church are worship, evangelism, fellowship, discipleship and ministry to others.
God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end. According to His promise, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth, the dead will be raised and Christ will judge all men in righteousness.
